Streaming - OpenModex

Overview

Set stream: true to receive responses as Server-Sent Events (SSE). Each event contains a partial response chunk, allowing you to display content in real-time as it’s generated.

Stream Format

The stream sends data: lines containing JSON objects:

Chunk Object

Each chunk contains:

Field	Type	Description
`id`	string	Shared across all chunks in one response
`object`	string	Always `chat.completion.chunk`
`created`	integer	Unix timestamp
`model`	string	Model that generated the response
`choices[].delta.role`	string	Only present in the first chunk
`choices[].delta.content`	string	Token content (may be empty)
`choices[].finish_reason`	string \| null	`stop`, `length`, or `null` while streaming

Aborting a Stream

You can cancel an in-progress stream:
